AOY Points

Southern Illinois Kayak Club Angler Of the Year Point System 2021

SIKC is Keeping it Simple again this Year! We based our AOY Point System off a Very Basic Formula to make it easy for all anglers to keep track and monitor their standings. This System will provide many opportunities for anglers of all skill levels to compete on a fair basis. There are subsequent points that can be earned for special events, charities and volunteer positions that are non-tournament Events. Those Point potentials will be reveled on announcement of Special Events. The best of 5 out of 7 events will count towards the overall Angler of the Year Race.

Anglers CANNOT accrue points prior to the first Event of the New Season(Points do not carry over).

In the result of a tie, there will be a “Fish-Off” on the club committees choice of water. The biggest Bass caught that day will determine the AOY Winner.

POINTS: 50 Points will be awarded to the first place angler, then each place after that (up to 49) will receive 1 point less than the finishing angler ahead of them.

1st place      50 points

2nd place     49 points

3rd place     48 points

4th place     47 points

5th place     46 points

6th place     45 points

7th place     44 points

8th place     43 points

and so on…

If an angler completes an event without submitting any fish, that angler will receive 10 less points than the lowest ranking angler that submitted fish.
