2020 AOY Champion

After an incredible year of fishing, Southern Illinois Kayak Club is happy to officially announce Glenn Banaszak as our Angler of the year for our 2020 season! Glenn Finished in the Top 5 in every Tournament of the season, and finished second in three out of the five tournaments. To top off his great performance in the regular season, Glenn became the first SIKC Classic Champion. He showed text book angling and true sportsmanship throughout this season. Glenn has earned his spot on the 2021 SIKC roster to defend his back to back title as AOY Champion!

2020 ROY Champion

A huge congratulations goes to our 2020 Rookie of the year, Darren Hemker. Darren won our first two events of this season, and continued with steady performances for the rest of our season. Darren broke the tie, and came home with the Rookie of the year tittle thanks to his 2nd place finish at the SIKC Classic on Sangchris Lake. We look forward to fishing with you, and all of our former rookies next season.

Tournament #1 Newton Lake

This event was cancelled to keep our anglers safe during the outbreak of Covid-19

Tournament #1 May Monthly

This event was supposed to be a one day event on Washington County Lake. Unfortunately, IDNR did not give us permission to fish this event due to Covid-19. Instead we created a month long tournament where anglers could compete on Washington Co., Sangchris Lake, and Lake Clinton for the entire month of May. Here are the final Standings.
